About the Authoress

I'm Brie! I am a twenty-year-old self-proclaimed artist, poet, musician, and authoress. I recently spent a year in Nicaragua with my parents and brother, doing full time mission work. I'm now attending college, studying psychology. And because I know you're all wondering, my spirit animal is a house cat. ;)

Fantasies and Reality Checks is my little corner of the internet, filled with things that I find interesting. Usually they end up being art, personal anecdotes and reflections, quotes and links, and other cool tidbits.

Art is one of my biggest passions! I love painting, sketching, and combining interesting mediums. One of my recent favorites is using watercolors with paper scraps and sharpie.

I love movie nights, and my tastes are all over the board. I love The Lorax, pretty much all Disney movies, The Lord of the Rings, Titanic, Curious George, The Princess Bride, Transformers, among many, many others.

I love creative writing of all kinds, working with kids of all kinds, and music of all kinds.
